Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 August 2026
These terms govern your use of CrispNote (the Android, Windows and browser
versions — "the app"), provided by Craftopia ("we"). By using the app you agree to these terms.
1. Licence
- We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app under these terms
- A licence key for the web version is for the purchaser's own use.
Please do not transfer, lend, redistribute or publish it
- Copyright and all other rights in the app remain with us. These terms transfer no ownership
2. Your data
- The notes you create are yours. We have no access to their contents
- Your data is stored on your device. If you enable cloud sync it is stored directly in your
own Google Drive or OneDrive account. We run no server, so your data never passes through us
- See the privacy policy for details
- Backups are your responsibility. In the browser version in particular,
clearing your browser data removes the notes stored on that device
3. Acceptable use
- Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Do not distribute, sell or publish licence keys
- Do not interfere with the operation of the app
4. Disclaimer
- The app is provided as is, without warranty of fitness for any particular purpose
- To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or inability
to use, the app — including loss of data or lost profits
- Cloud sync depends on services operated by Google and Microsoft. We are not responsible for
outages or changes on their side
5. Changes and discontinuation
- Features may change without notice. Significant changes are announced in the app or on this site
- If these terms change, this page is updated and the date above is revised
- If the app is ever discontinued, your notes remain on your device and in your own
cloud, and can be exported in standard formats (Markdown or a CrispNote archive)
6. Refund policy
Licences for the web version are fully refundable within 14 days of purchase, for any
reason. There are no exceptions or conditions.
- To request a refund, use the link in the purchase confirmation email from Paddle, or
contact us at the address below
- Once a refund is issued, the licence key we sent you stops working
- Every feature is free to try for 30 days before you buy, but the trial
is not a condition of the refund
- Payment is handled by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), who act as the seller
of record. The Paddle buyer terms also
apply to the transaction
- The Android version is free. The Windows version is sold through the Microsoft Store, where
Microsoft's own refund rules apply
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the courts of Japan have exclusive jurisdiction
over disputes relating to the app.
